Privacy Policy
plusq is designed as a local-first desktop application. This policy explains what Shirokane Suri, LLC. (白金数理合同会社) processes when you visit our website, buy a license, or contact us.
Last updated: July 28, 2026
Information we process
The plusq desktop app stores database connections, query files, workspace data, and license state on your device. Database credentials and license keys are protected using the operating system keychain where supported.
When you activate or validate a license, our licensing service may process the license identifier, a device or instance identifier and name, activation and validation times, IP address, and security logs. We use this information only to provide licensing, enforce device limits, prevent abuse, and support you.
When you buy a license, Paddle processes checkout details such as your name, email address, billing address, tax information, payment method, and transaction details as merchant of record. We receive the customer and transaction information needed to issue and support your license.
AI and database data
plusq does not proxy your database queries or AI prompts through Shirokane Suri servers. If you configure an AI provider, requests are sent from your device to the provider you select under that provider's terms and privacy policy.
Database content remains between your device and the database services you configure, except when you deliberately send selected context to your configured AI provider.
Website and service providers
Our website is hosted by Vercel and downloads are hosted by GitHub. These providers may process standard request data such as IP address, user agent, timestamp, and requested URL for security and service delivery.
The site may store a functional locale cookie so it can remember your language. We do not use that cookie to sell personal information or build advertising profiles.
We use Paddle for checkout, tax, receipts, refunds, and payment-related customer service. Paddle acts as merchant of record and publishes its own privacy notice.
- Vercel: website hosting and operational logs
- GitHub: release downloads and public support
- Paddle: payments, tax, fraud prevention, receipts, and refunds
- Email providers: transactional license and support messages
Retention, rights, and security
We keep purchase and license records for as long as needed to provide the license, meet tax and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. Support messages are retained only as reasonably necessary.
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal information. Some transaction records must be retained by Paddle or by law.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Disclosure and international processing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We disclose it only to service providers acting for the purposes described here, when you direct us to, when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, or when required by law.
If Shirokane Suri is reorganized, acquired, merged, or transfers the plusq business, relevant customer and license records may transfer with that business subject to applicable law.
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. We use providers and safeguards appropriate to the service and applicable legal requirements.
Children
plusq and this site are intended for adults and professional users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
